To spoil or not to spoil

I think that Tessa might be a bit spoiled. When we first got her as a puppy we didn't allow her in our bed. It then got to the point that she would start waking up earlier and earlier in hopes of getting on the bed. This meant that we would have to wake up several times in the night. We gave in. It was easier. So she is a bed sleeper...and not just at the foot of the bed either. Here are a few pictures of how she sleeps.
This last picture is my favorite. In the winter she spends most of the night under the covers in the middle of the bed squished up next to us. She surfaces occationally but then she always walks up to the top of the bed and nudges the covers to let us know she wants under. This wasn't the way we wanted it to be but as gross as I still think it is to have the dog in the bed it still is sweet the way she cuddles. She's a good little girl....as yes, spoiled.

I'd totally let our dog sleep in our bed, except for the fact that she weighs 100 lbs and has a leaky bladder.

Your cuddly doggie is cute.

I don't think any dog should be deprived of extra cuddles. It's not spoiling, it's nurturing ;)

As long as she doesn't lick you to death. With Tessa, this is a distinct possibility.

Aww, the pictures are so cute. You're good dog parents to let her sleep in the bed. Besides, this way she feels like one of the pack! ;-)

We allow our dogs to sleep with us as a reward for good behavior. They do a really good job with it too. Sometimes I find them sleeping on their backs and snoring. It is way cute.
