Thanksmas

Noah loves to get his mesh laundry basket and put it over his head and run around. It's pretty funny to watch him. He gets so excited.

Every year either the day after Thanksgiving or the Saturday after we get together with Jason's dad, stepmom, Aunt and Uncle and their 3 girls, and Jason's sisters and their families and we have Thanksmas. This year his dad wants us to visit him for Christmas and since his Aunt and Uncle and their family couldn't make the trip we still got together with them on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Food, presents, and games. Seriously - you have no idea how these Beasley's are about games.
Noah opening his presents. He got a turtle nightlight that shines stars and an I Spy Christmas book.
He was interested.
While the Beasleys started up games Jason's Aunt Susan brought out a 100 piece Santa puzzle for the kids. Noah was very interested in it.
My brother-in-law Kyle and I were the ones who worked on it. Ethan joined in on it. He's actually pretty good at putting together puzzles. I was impressed.
Here's our masterpiece.
This is the next morning but I had to put pictures of Noah looking at his I Spy book. He loves it. Loves it.

Such a little sweetie.

I gave my talk that morning and it went ok I think. Glad it's over though. :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning started at a bright and early 6:30 (guess who chose that time).
We spent the morning up until 10:00 playing and watching A Garfield Thanksgiving.
I put Noah down for a nap at 10:00 because I wasn't sure how the day would go. He ended up sleeping until 12:00.

Me and my handsome boy. I meant to have someone take a family picture of us but I forgot.

Here is the shirt I made for Noah based off of a pinterest post. Thanks again Amy for mailing it (yes I made it at her house on Saturday and then left without it.) Here's the front.

and here's the back.

For lunch Noah started out only wanting to eat strawberries (he's a bit obsessed with them) but they eventually ran out and luckily he ate some homeade macaroni and cheese that Jason's mom had made. It really was delicious. Everyone else stuffed themselves with the usual Thanksgiving foods. YUM!

Then the game nazi (Jason) started up the family games.

Here is Noah eating a frozen banana pop that Serena made covered in chocolate.

He really liked them and was covered in chocolate.

Dinner time. He ate macaroni again. :)

We made it back home at around 8:00, gave Noah a quick bath, and put him in Christmas jammies he inherited from someone to celebrate the official start of the Christmas season!

I just want to say how thankful I am for all of my family on both sides. I really love them all and feel so blessed to have such good relationships with everyone.

This morning Noah decided to "snuggle" with Tessa. He LOVES her.

With it being officially the Christmas season I really want to start putting up Christmas decorations but I have to write a talk for church on Sunday and so that will just have to wait. I've been putting it off and now since we have "Thanksmas" tomorrow with Jason's Aunt and her family I really only have today to work on it. Am I starting to feel anxiety about it....yep. :)

I started to brainstorm on paper ideas for my talk but it got confiscated by someone.

Maybe he'll come up with something good. :)

During breakfast I decided to go ahead and show Noah Christmas Eve on Sesame Street.

Then I decided to head to Walmart to buy the game for the game gift exchange for tomorrow. Unfortunatly, I forgot to get a few things so I have to go back later. I don't want to. :)

Getting pictures of my boy has become super hard.

So my talk.....yes I have some ideas. No, it's nowhere near being done. Am I still procrastinating? Yep. Why? I don't know.

But, that does mean I posted about Thanksgiving and made your day right? My job here is finished!

Surprise

So the secrets out. I'm pregnant. We wanted another one and were so pleasantly surprised when we found out we had another one coming. It took so long to get Noah that we didn't really expect it to happen so soon. We are thrilled. My due date is May 22nd but since this one will be a repeat C-Section they have already scheduled the surgery for May 15th. 2 days before my birthday. Yay!

Halloween

I figure I better get with it and post about Halloween before I just decide it's been too long and to move on to another topic. The day before Halloween we carved our pumpkin.

This was Noah's first pumpkin and although he doesn't look thrilled, he really enjoyed it.

He was really interested in what Jason was doing. He kept grabbing the pumpkin with both hands and pulling it down to look inside.

Then the town trick or treating was that night so Noah (and Jason) got dressed up. Cute little Kermit.

I had a hard time getting good pictures of it.

We met up with the family and a few friends to go trick or treating together. Here he is with Jason's mom. Our town has a pretty neat set up. You can go door to door but they also have businesses up and down Main Street that sit outside their business and pass out candy. It's pretty crowded but I like it. Makes it a lot safer I think.

Here's Noah outside the firehouse. He didn't really understand that people were giving him candy (although he does like to eat it) but he loved walking around downtown.

Jason gutted the pumpkin and I carved it. Jason picked the design. :) We turned the lights off and said, "ooooo" so Noah kept looking at it and saying "oooooo" over and over.

On Halloween we went to our church Trunk or Treat. Jason wanted Noah to be Thing 2 but we just didn't have the time to get it ready. It would have been pretty cute.

Jason was in charge of a game at the Trunk or Treat so he did pumpkin bowling. It was a huge hit with all of the kids. They kept getting back in line for it. Our nephew Vincent is there as Thomas the train and I know he's blurry but Ashton is the bowler.

Noah wouldn't eat at the church (big surprise Mr. Picky) so he didn't eat until we got home. He had a late dinner. He did have a nice little tantrum at the church where he screamed and head butted me. He's getting pretty good at those. But, we had a good Halloween and now we are ready to move to Thanksgiving!

So excited for the next 2 holidays!

Costumes

Okay these are from last year. Noah was 6 months old and we tried on the lobster costume handed down from his cousin Vincent.

Unfortunately it was too big. We weren't surprised because it is a 12-18 month costume. Looking at these pictures it doesn't actually look that big. You'll just have to trust me that it was.

He sure looked cute though.

This is what he was. The cutest bear I have ever seen.

Seriously....my kid is adorable. :)

Today I tried the lobster costume on him again since he can still wear a lot of 18 month clothes but unfortunately it is too small this year. The sleeves were way too short, it wouldn't zip all the way and we had to basically force the hood on. No wonder he didn't like it. He kept fussing and trying to rip the dangling things off.

So the moral of this story is.......my kid is cute, and we have no idea what he is going to be for Halloween. :)

Stupid Mosquitos

Noah has started getting the xbox controller, turning it on, turning the tv on, and then sitting on the floor pushing buttons and then looking at the screen trying to get it to work. So here Jason was more than happy to play xbox with Noah.

They are pretty cute.

Noah brought my shoes to me today and was convinced I needed to wear them. What do you think? New fashion trend?

This isn't a great picture of it but my poor little guy got a mosquito bite under his eye. It's really red, puffy, and swollen. It looks much worse in person but this was the best shot I could get. He moves so fast and I have to use my phone to take pictures since my camera still doesn't have the cable and takes lousy pictures anyway. So most of the pictures I take of him are blurry. :)

I don't know why the mosquitos go directly to him. I guess he is so sweet and tender. :) He gets bites all the time and he always has an allergic reaction to them. Right now he has the one under his eye, a big one behind his ear, and one on his leg. He was rubbing on his eye and ear so bad I called the doctor's office and asked if Benedryl will help so he's had a dose and seems to not be as itchy.

Poor little guy fell down the stairs for the first time last night at Jason's sisters house. I guess Jason thought he put the baby gate up alright but it was too wobbly so when he pushed on it down he went. My guy had a hard day yesterday. 3 bites, falling down the stairs, and he got 2 shots. Talk about a bad day! Luckily he is alright and was more scared by the fall then anything.

October!

A couple days ago we went on a family walk in the nature trail. We like to walk in the nature trail when we can. It's very pretty. Here is Jason and Noah. Noah loves to go on walks. He would not look at the camera because he was so concerned that we turned around to get the picture.

Here is proof that I exist. I think I should have put some make-up on though. :)

We walk past the lake many times in the nature trail. It's so pretty and peaceful.

Noah had his first day of nursery at church on Sunday. He did okay but then again I was in there the whole time. The nursery leader wasn't there so it was only one lady with 5 kids so I stayed to help. He likes to play but the main problem is he is so exhausted by that point. One of the kids knocked him down a few times and so he would start bawling and then true to his nature he would then scream in rage and try to retaliate. Ah, my sensitive, firey boy.

Today is October 1st. I'm pretty excited about that. Fall!! I've been waiting for it. I've been trying to put up our Halloween decorations today.

I think it's time I change my blog background to something nice and Fallish. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty excited about that. Don't judge me. :)

Oh and while we are on the subject of not blaming......Noah is taking a bottle twice a day again. I know...I know. He was having a hard time with it and even though I know I need to do it soon or later I gave in and gave it back to him. I just don't have the energy to keep it from him right now. Hopefully by the time he is 2. :)
