To buy or not to buy....

Jason and I are trying to decide whether to buy a house or not. These are two of them that we both really like. Here they are.

House #1
Dining Room

Kitchen

Family Room
Living Room

House #2 Kitchen
Family Room
Living Room

Leave us a comment and let me know what you think of these houses. We've been taking our time but now we hear someone else is interested in one of them so we need to decide which house to put an offer on.........and whether or not to buy. Yikes it's difficult being adults. :)

Yes, there is only $900 difference in them. The 1st house is way cute but much smaller. I love the colors too. I miss you.

Hey, I found your blog through Becky's blog. I really like yours, it's so fun. The first house looks really nice but the second one looks bigger. Good luck deciding!

The second house definitely has cuter wallpaper :). Besides being bigger, doesn't the second house also have a carport where the first one does not? Car ports cost about $1000.

And, the first house appears to have better landscaping, but they did the bushes wrong. They should be at least 3 feet from the foundation or you risk basement leakage.

Which one is older?

They were built around the same time. There isn't a basement in either house. It's so confusing. Ahh!!!!

This is Karen. I like both of them. I would check to see what the taxes are like each year on each of them before you make your decision. How many bedrooms/bathrooms in each? I love the 1st one, especailly the outside and the floors, but the 2nd one is good, too.

The 1st house has 3 bedrooms (but they are really small) and 1 bath. The 2nd has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It's hard to tell the taxes on the second one because the couple who lived in it before where elderly and lived there for a long time. They had 3 exceptions on their taxes so I don't know. It is on 2 lots so the taxes will be higher I think. The 2nd one is much bigger but I think would be a little bit more money. The 1st I just love so much but like I said the bedrooms are small. It's adorable though and I have so many ideas for it.

You've probably heard this from me before, but are you SURE that you will be staying in Salem? In the past you've not been sure where you want to end up. A house can really tie you down. Sometimes they sell fast and sometimes you can't get rid of them to save you. Remember trying to sell our house in Hamel? I can understand your wanting to settle into something of your own and I back you up if it's right for you, but be really sure it's what is right for your situation before you act. See you in a week and a half.
