Sentimental

I totally love Jane Austen's books and the movies they made from them. I also love 'Little Women' from Louisa May Alcott. I've been reading the book and so then I decided to watch the movie again. I just love these authors. Their books have amazing heart. I do have quite a fascination with this time period. I'm not sure if that is because of the books/movies or just enhanced by it. In any case......good stuff.
Little Women - Seriously how could you not love a movie (and book) with scenes like this? If I had four daughters would I name my girls Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy? Well....no, but it's a nice thought and a part of me would want to for sentimental reasons. I'm not going to post about all the wonderful books I love but we do have to talk about this last one.
Pride and Prejudice - Oh my! How I love this book and movie. It fills me with joy. Again, I wouldn't really name my five daughters (if I had them) Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia but part of me would want to. While we are on the subject, I was reading Pride and Prejudice a little while ago and I was at a part with Mr. Darcy (Oh how I love Darcy) and the thought popped into my head (and I thought it was a brilliant idea), "I could name my first boy Darcy. Seriously why has nobody done this?" Seriously the thought made my day. Then a few seconds later I remembered why nobody has done this and it actually disappointed me. Darcy......is a girls name. Sad.

So, I have to admit that I've never seen Pride and Predjudice. I don't even think I spelled it right. My only interaction with this was an episode of "Wishbone" on PBS, where Wishbone plays Mr. Darcy. And now I can only think of Darcy as a dog's name.

I'm a sucker for those movies too. Steve and I also like the LDS movie version of Pride & Prejudice. Have you heard/seen that? It's low budge, but fun.
