St. Patrick's Day

Confession: I LOVE IRELAND. I really don't know a whole lot about Ireland but just look at it. I think Ireland is so beautiful and I would LOVE to go there someday.

I was trying to find a picture of the rolling green hills (complete with sheep mind you) but I couldn't find one. I love St. Patrick's Day because of the association with Ireland. Not the day really just the green Irishy things. I definatly think it's stupid that you take a lovely holiday full of Irish bliss and have the holiday all about drinking. Whatever.

You have in no doubt noticed the Irish background I put on my blog. I must say that I like the little green shamrocks on the page but the more they are there covering the words the more they annoy me. The other backgrounds were just not exciting enough. Some were green and pretty but didn't express the joy. :) I love the green. Although, I do admit that it may be a bit of an overkill. A bit. :) Also, I HAVE to add.......just because the shamrocks on the side say Kiss me, I'm Irish (and I do believe I do have some Irish heritage) please do not kiss me.

I LOVE the accent. Even though Babe isn't the best movie in the world I still like to watch it occationally because it's set in Ireland. I just get a happy feeling I can't explain when Ireland comes up. Now I now that there's a possibility that I could go there some day and find out it's not all it's cracked up to be but for now....it makes me happy and I love it.

Food Storage

Okay not that I'm going to start blogging about my imperfections every post but one thing I need to add to that list is that I need to learn how to do food storage and actually do it. I know how to buy extra cans of food and that type of thing but I'm kind of a dunce at how to do the flour, sugar, etc. Does food storage seem overwhelming to anyone else? I need some tips if anyone has them. I did buy 4 cans of chicken noodle soup to start my storage. They were on sale for 2/$1. Yay! I'm progressing!

I need to find a place to store them though. I suppose storage needs to include toothpaste, deoderant, contact solution, soap, etc, huh? I did see that a friend of mine has a link to a food storage site. I added it to my contact list but haven't actually looked at it much yet.

So if anyone has any hints or good ideas about food storage let me know. I already know to buy an extra something when I go out shopping (I just don't do it *sheepish grin*) but it's other things that I just get overwhelmed with. I know it can't really be that hard. I just get overwhelmed with the idea of it and so my brain thinks it's difficult. Silly ol' brain.

What????

I know I've been a bit behind here. I plan on doing better but our laptop is out for the count. My brother-in-law got it totally virus free but then either the cord or the computer part itself where you plug it in stopped working so it wouldn't charge so we couldn't use it. Then the cord actually broke off. So our only hope is that we can get a new cord and that it's not the computer part that was screwed up and that the new cord will charge it and we can use it like normal. Especially because my pictures are on the computer and I would hate to lose a whole new batch of pictures. When will I learn? Someday (hopefully soon) I will do some major updating. Where would you even be able to buy a new cord that fits the laptop? Anyone know?



Well I got released as the Primary secretary at church and now have a new calling that I'm a bit freaked out about. I'm in the Relief Society presidency. What? Isn't that a grown up calling? Yes, I know I am a grown up (in most respects) but oh my. I'm the Educational Councelor to be exact.



My taxes aren't done yet so that hangs over my head. I need to budget better to be able to save more. Plus I'd really like to start paying more on our house payment and car loan. Plus, I'd really like to get some of the things done with the house that need done. Plus, I'd like to be rich. :) I also really need to get on the ball and start losing weight. That really hangs over my head. Sheesh. Just do it Jeanette. Well there are many more things that could be added to this list but who really needs to hear ALL of the many things I'm not good at? Plus, I may just be rambling because I don't know what else to say.
